Luntsford Earns All-Conference at MWC Cross Country Championships
By Nathan Baliva The Monmouth College cross country teams competed in the Midwest Conference Championships on Saturday and sophomore Paige Luntsford (Cairo, Missouri) earned All-Conference with a 16th place finish for the women . Men's Soccer Season Ends with Home Loss
By Nathan Baliva The Monmouth College men's soccer team ended their season with a 5-0 home loss to nationally ranked Lake Forest on Saturday. The Fighting Scots finish the campaign at 3-9-3 overall, 0-7-1 in the Midwest Conference. The #23 ranked Foresters scored in the ninth minute. Scots Fall to Foresters, Eliminated from MWC Race
By Nathan Baliva The Monmouth College women's soccer team ended their season with a 5-0 home loss against undefeated Lake Forest on Saturday. The Fighting Scots (7-6-3, 3-3-2) were eliminated from MWC Tournament contention when Grinnell won at Knox on Saturday. The Scots and Pioneers finished tied for fourth on 11 points and drew 0-0 this season but Grinnell won the next tiebreaker. Sandburg volleyball opens Region 4 tourney Wednesday at Kankakee
The Sandburg volleyball team will open the postseason Wednesday evening on the road. The Chargers earned the No. 6 seed in the Region 4 Division II District B tournament and will face third-seeded Kankakee in a quarterfinal match at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Sandburg men’s basketball team opens its 19th season under coach Ryan Twaddle this weekend.
