The first round she scored 640, in the second round she broke the record scoring 593. She now holds the record and is currently 43,287 pins and counting. |

Goodwill Opening DayAbingdon resident Rhonda Bentwent to see the New 15,000 sq. foot Goodwill store located at 1338 North Henderson Street Galesburg Friday December 20th. She ended up doing a little shopping. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11a.m. to 6p.m. Sundays. | GHS Boys Swim vs. MolineGHS senior Ryan Tapper,a member of the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay Varsity team. The team placed second for the event against Moline on December 10th at Mustain Pool. GHS won the meet 151 Moline 28. | Lions Club Bill AlbrachtThe Galesburg Lions Club was privileged to host Mr. Bill “Hawk” Albracht during its lunch meeting on 11 December 2024. Mr. Albracht presented a spell binding story regarding his experience as the youngest US Army Captain to command combat soldiers in Vietnam. His audience of over 50 Lions and their guests at 156 E. Bar and Grill on Main Street in Galesburg, IL concluded with a very appreciative standing ovation from those in attendance which included many veterans. |
Santa Seniors Knox County TriadVolunteer Kathy Bell, Santa shopper with Knox County Sheriff Jack Harlan at the Santa for Seniors Annual Shopping event, sponsored by the Knox County Triad for Senior Citizens, December 7th at Walmart Galesburg.
