Sandburg Freshman Agot Voted 2nd-Team All-Arrowhead

GALESBURG — Carl Sandburg College men’s basketball player Atem Agot (East Moline, Ill./United Township) was voted to Second-Team All-Arrowhead Conference by league coaches after leading the Chargers in scoring and rebounding this season.

In nine games against Arrowhead opponents, the 6-foot-6 freshman forward averaged 14 points and 8.3 rebounds to pace Sandburg. Agot’s 51 percent mark from the field (47 of 93) in conference play also led all Chargers. He was second on the team in 3-point percentage (37 percent) and third in free-throw percentage (70 percent). Agot also averaged 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals per contest.

Agot recorded a double-double in three of the Chargers’ Arrowhead matchups. He had 11 rebounds and tied a season-high with 22 points in Sandburg’s game Feb. 10 at Black Hawk.
