Knox Women's Basketball to Travel to Loras for Opening Round of NCAA Tournament

GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire women’s basketball team is set to travel to Loras College to battle the Duhawks in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on March 3. Tip-off is set for 7:45 p.m. at the Lillis Athletic and Wellness Center on the Loras campus in Dubuque, Iowa.

Knox is 22-5 on the season, while the Duhawks enter the NCAA Tournament with a record of 23-4. Loras faced a similar situation to the Prairie Fire in their conference tournament as the number two seed to Wartburg, despite arguably being the better team. The winner will move on to play the winner of Washington University (St. Louis) and Trine on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets will be sold on site only and doors will open one hour prior to the start of the game. Tickets will be $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and students, and free for children under the age of five.
