Knox County COVID Positive Case Numbers and Vaccine Administration Data

Knox County, IL- The Knox County Unified Command is announcing 10 new cases of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), between Friday, June 11, 2021 through Monday, June 14, 2021, bringing the total positive cases to 5,700. Due to federal privacy restriction, release of any additional information is prohibited. In every effort to reduce the risk of additional transmission, local public health officials are working to identify and actively monitor individuals who were in direct contact with these individuals.

The new cases include:


· 2 male 10s · 2 females 40s · 3 males 40s · 1 female 50s · 1 male 50s · 1 male 70s


According to the Illinois Department of Public Health today, Knox County has administered 43,044 COVID-19 vaccines and 21,087 county residents have been fully vaccinated. This makes up 42.08% of our population fully vaccinated. The Knox County Unified Command is hosting a Moderna and Janssen COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Unified Command Vaccine Center, 1150 W. Carl Sandburg Dr., Galesburg (former Bergner’s Building) on Thursday, June 17th from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Health Department will be administering the two dose Moderna vaccine to those 18 years of age and up and the one dose Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine to those 18 years of age and up at the clinic. Patients will need a second dose between 28 and 42 days after the first dose. The Knox County Health Department is offering a rural walk-in Janssen COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Williamsfield Fire Department, 200 E. Gale St., Williamsfield, on Tuesday, June 22nd from 9:00am-11:00am. This is a one dose Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine available to those 18 years of age and up.
