Jaclyn Smith-Esters, 5th Ward City Council Member is hosting an open house Wednesday, March 15 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. The event will be held at The Great House, 501 E Losey St. The public is invited to attend to discuss their ideas and concerns for the city of Galesburg.
“I would like to make this an annual event,” explains Ms. Smith-Esters. “It’s important to connect with the people you represent. When you connect with your residents, that’s when you make great decisions. Ward 5 is the heart of Galesburg and I am anxious to hear from my constituents about what they love about Galesburg and where we can make improvements. The Great House is a perfect location for this open house as it sits in Ward 5 and its grandeur is representative of both Galesburg’s rich history and its potential future.”
Besides having the opportunity to visit with Smith-Esters, participants can register to vote and get voter information including poll locations and times. Light refreshments will be served.
