Willis Lofts, a future residential structure, brings a Contemporary Minimalist residential/retail building to 66-72 North Seminary Street.
According to the General Contractor, Bond Construction Company, the 3000-square-foot 1894 Purington Paver brick building will include two high-end luxury 750 square-foot lofts on the 2nd floor and a 1500-square-foot modern retail space on the 1st floor.

As one of the most ambitious private construction transformations ever in Galesburg, this boutique, Class A development will deliver vibrant use of residential space, with 10-foot ceilings, soaring windows, and dramatic views of downtown Galesburg. In addition, modern functional floor plans and upscale amenities - all under one two-story roof will add some glamour and elegance to downtown Galesburg.
Nestled between the future building restoration sites of the Knox-Galesburg Symphony and the Galesburg Civic Art Center, Willis Lofts will be a perfect fit for Seminary Street. Within walking distance of gourmet coffee, food, and specialty shops, Willis Lofts is also close to the downtown business core, nightlife, and the Amtrak station.
In June 2020, the construction efforts began with a glass-raising event to celebrate the start of the substantial transformation. The front and rear facades were removed to replace new materials using the latest techniques and restoration methods.
Midwest Bank Galesburg arranged the financing for the project. The City of Galesburg and the Galesburg Downtown Council assisted with the Facade Improvement Grant Program for Exterior improvements, Streamline Architects, Bond Construction and the owners' Kip and Sara Willis worked on all the design aspects.
Willis Lofts are expected to finish in August 2021.
