The Downtown Community Partnership (DCP) of Galesburg once again brings together Galesburg families and downtown businesses for the annual Treat Street Halloween celebration. Families are encouraged to trick-or-treat at participating businesses from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, October 29th. Participants should start at one of the DCP booths—located at Park Plaza (130 E Main St) or on the corner of Seminary and Simmons Streets—to pick up a free 2022 treat bag and a map of participating businesses! Organizations without a brick-and-mortar location downtown will set up treat tables at either Park Plaza or the parking lot of Vault.
While picking up terrifying treats, families are encouraged to check out the window displays, photo backdrops, and other spooky spectacles decorating participating businesses. Keep an extra eerie eye out for the orange traffic cone located at each participating business.
The business with the best decorated traffic cone will win our Halloween decorating contest and a $300 cash prize presented by the Downtown Community Partnership and Zach Shaw at Mel Foster Co. Remember to tag any photos using #DCPTreatStreet2022 to share your downtown Halloween experience!
Please consider donating your costume after Halloween for our annual costume drive. Gently used costumes may be dropped off at the Galesburg Public Library.
