The Spectrum Pub Announces Grand Opening Celebration in Cambridge, Illinois — October 4th

A vibrant new gathering place is opening its doors in downtown Cambridge! The Spectrum Pub will officially open on Friday, October 4th, inviting residents and visitors alike to enjoy great food, refreshing drinks, and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere right in the heart of the community.

The Spectrum Pub will be open daily from 11:00 AM to midnight — yes, every day! The kitchen will serve lunch from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM and dinner from 4:00–9:00 PM, offering a full pub menu perfect for everything from casual lunches to hearty evening meals.

Guests can enjoy their food and drinks in several inviting spaces, including pub-style seating on the lower concrete balcony and tables and chairs on the upper balcony, both of which offer full food and drink service. Inside, a serving window behind the bar connects to the arcade, and a doorway near the restrooms allows guests to move easily between the pub and arcade. The pub’s liquor license covers both sides, meaning guests can enjoy food and drinks on the arcade side as well.

To maintain a family-friendly environment, the front door to the arcade will close at 9:00 PM when the kitchen closes — but adults are welcome to keep playing games in the arcade until midnight.

In addition to the bar and dining areas, The Spectrum Pub will feature a private gaming room located just off the bar. While the space is ready, the pub is still awaiting the final state inspection and gaming license approval, which may not be completed by opening day. “We’re really close,” said the owners. “It’s just a matter of the state finishing their inspection — and we all know how slow that process can be!”

Grand Opening Celebration — October 4th

To mark the grand opening, The Spectrum Pub is hosting a community celebration on Saturday, October 4th, featuring live music from The Synchas from 7:00–10:00 PM in the band shelter across the street. The Synchas will bring their signature blend of rock and blues to the stage for an evening of great entertainment.

The street will be closed for the concert, and alcohol will be permitted outdoors for the event. “We figured if we’re going to open, we might as well go big for our first night!” said the owners.

The kitchen staff begins training this week, and the team is hard at work putting the finishing touches on both the interior and exterior of the pub. The menu, featuring a mix of classic pub favorites and hearty new dishes, will be announced soon.
