Sunday Gun Shot Victim

GALESBURG - At 8 pm on Sunday, April 4, 2021, the Galesburg Police responded to the 1900 BLK of Indiana Ave in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon arrival a 33 year old male victim was found outside with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The Galesburg Fire Department and Galesburg Ambulance Service arrived and provided medical attention to the victim. The victim was later transported to Cottage ER and then to St. Francis in Peoria for treatment.

This incident is currently under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the shooting should contact the Galesburg Police Department at (309) 343-9151.
