The Monmouth College men's and women's tennis teams combined to have six student-athletes named Division III Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) this week. To qualify for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least sophomore standing, have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and participate in at least 10 team scoring matches.
The women's team placed four on the All-District team. Senior Jennifer Shimmin (Monmouth, Illinois) is a repeat selection and she is joined by junior Natalie Labicki (Antioch, Illinois). Sophomores Kimber Calvert (Paris, Illinois) and Ivana Stefanova (Streamwood, Illinois) made it in their first year eligible.
For the men's team, senior Sawyer Day (Cupertino, California) made it for the third straight year, the most allowed by rule. Meanwhile, fellow senior Spencer Corn (Kansas City, Missouri) was a repeat selection.
Overall, the Scots have had 34 CSC Academic All-District selections so far for the 2024-25 season. The softball awards are next on May 27, followed by baseball, miscellaneous sports and track and field in June.
