Search for Suspect in July 5th Shooting

Galesburg, IL (July 21, 2021) On July 5, 2021 at approximately 11:46 p.m. the Galesburg Police Department responded to a shooting of a male subject in the 900 block of Jefferson Street. The investigation into the shooting has led to a suspect being identified.

On July 6, 2021, an arrest warrant was issued in Knox County for the arrest of Mario Devon Washington for the offenses of first-degree murder (attempt) and possession of a weapon by a felon.
