Plumley Finishes Ninth for Scots in Blue Flight of Augustana Interregional

The Monmouth College cross country teams ran in the Blue Flight of the Augustana Interregional on October 19 in a meet that featured numerous top 25 Division III squads. The men did not have a team score and the women finished 24th in the flight.

WIlliam Plumley (Geneseo, Illinois) finished ninth overall with a time of 26:03.4. Eli Newton (Dallas City, Illinois) was 136th in 27:49.4 and Xander Stoub (Palos Heights, Illinois) was 174th in 28:15.3 Wyatt Beck (Tampico, Illinois) started but did not finish the race and Nico Yeo Wiedman (Henry, Illinois) finished 394th with a time of 35:14.8.

Samantha Costello (Morris, Illinois) finished 52nd with a time of 25:13.1 and Melissa Bivolarov (Arlington Heights, Illinois) was 166th in 27:27.4. Running for the first time, Danielle Johnson (Annawan, Illinois) finished 191st in 28:17.4. Paige Luntsford (Cairo, Missouri) was 205th in 28:53.8 and Zoey Johnson (Monmouth, Illinois) was 240th in 31:10.2. Kaeley Kent (Springfield, Illinois) finished in 242nd place in 31:20.7

The Scots have a week off before the Midwest Conference Championships in Appleton, Wisconsin, hosted by Lawrence University on Nov. 2.
