Memorial Day

Dear Editor,

Memorial Day is a time for reflection and gratitude as we honor the brave service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. The long holiday weekend also marks the unofficial start of summer, bringing together family and friends across the country for meaningful celebrations in their honor. From all of us at G&M Distributors and Anheuser-Busch, we encourage our community to make safety a priority going into the Memorial Day weekend.

Historically, Memorial Day weekend sees a surge in fatalities caused by drunk driving. By planning ahead for a safe ride home when drinking, we can work together to prevent devastating losses and make our roads safer for everyone.

Over the last 35 years, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have invested more than $1 billion in responsible drinking initiatives and community based programs to prevent underage drinking, impaired driving, and other harmful uses of alcohol. All of us at G&M are once again teaming up with Anheuser-Busch to encourage everyone to Decide to Ride by planning ahead for a safe ride if you're drinking.
