HT Custer Park Input Sought

Galesburg, IL (August 17, 2021) The City of Galesburg Parks and Recreation Department is applying for the 2022 Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant to renovate HT Custer Park. The City would like to get input from the residents who live near the park on what ideas they have for possible renovations.

A community meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 24th, from 5:30-7:30 pm at the shelter in HT Custer Park for people to hear what some of the renovation ideas include and express their ideas on what else they would possibly like to see as part of the upgrades. The South Side Task Force will be in attendance to provide an opportunity for neighborhood residents to suggest ideas on how to improve our community as a whole. These ideas can range from economic development to recreational amenities to neighborhood watch groups to whatever the mind can dream up!

As part of this event, refreshments will be provided by the South Side Task Force and the City hopes to have the Mobile Playground in attendance as well.
