GPD Responds to Shooting on Jefferson Street in Galesburg

Galesburg, IL (July 6, 2021) On Monday, July 5, 2021, Galesburg police officers responded to the 900 block of Jefferson Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, a male subject was found to have four gunshot wounds to his abdomen area. He was transported to the hospital and subsequently life-flighted to Peoria. The victim is expected to survive his injuries. This case is currently under investigation.
