Beginning in March, Golden Tours is coming to Galesburg! Golden Tours is the ultimate DayTrip experience.
“Golden Tours offers great destinations on a luxury motor coach with on board entertainment and activities. A wonderful meal is included and an unforgettable experience that makes an ordinary day extraordinary! Our passion is working with seniors, however, anyone who is ready for an adventure is welcome to travel with us.” explained Golden Tours owner and host Tracy Geisz.
Geisz opened Golden Tours in September 2020. She is a former activity director of an assisted living facility.
Why did Geisz startup Golden Tours?
“I have a strong passion for working and being with the senior population. I wanted to reach more people and do something more with my passion. I wanted to create an experience that can make a difference in people's lives. I thought I could do all of this on a coach bus.” explained Geisz.
Golden Tours is able to accommodate the needs of seniors. If you or a loved one needs a wheelchair or scooter, Golden Tours can request a wheelchair lift coach.
While Golden Tours target audience is senior citizens, don’t let that stop you from going on a tour!
In addition to accommodating seniors with wheelchairs and scooters, Golden Tours strives to keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We follow all the guidelines to help keep everyone as safe as we can. The places we are going to do the same.” stated Geisz.
“We have had ages from 9 months to 100 attend our tours! Working people will take a day off and go with friends, their mom, or grandma. We have couples go on a day date with us too. We really have something for everyone. Bottom line we are all busy and it's nice to have a day planned for you where you can just enjoy yourself and the people around you.” passionately stated Geisz.
For Geisz the best part about Golden Tours is “the difference we are making in people's lives. We had a woman bring seven of her family members on a DayTrip to celebrate her 85th birthday. They had four generations represented. They all had a great day, made memories, got some great pictures, and made her have an unforgettable birthday. We have single people that may have lost their loved one or friends come on our DayTrips and say " I came alone but never felt alone." Stories like that make all the hard work with it.”
Geisz would like the Galesburg community to know, “We are excited to be able to offer these DayTrips for you. I hope that you come and experience one of our DayTrips. I promise it will be like no other. The passion and attention to detail we put into every DayTrip will be seen. We are looking forward to seeing you all.”
