Gem City Concert Series is returning to Quincy for the 2nd year! After a widely successful inaugural year, the festival found a larger home! This year's series will take place in Lincoln Park, on the Riverfront in Quincy, Illinois. This year, the series will span two full weekends. One weekend will be rock music, and the other will be country music. The first announcement is the ROCK weekend! The rock weekend will occur on Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22, 2024. Six national acts are slated to take the stage over the weekend!
The first headliner is a band that has been around since 1994 and tallied global sales of seven million, logged three gold-selling albums, delivered three Top 15 debuts on the Billboard 200, and garnered a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the “Best Metal Performance.” SEVENDUST is coming to Quincy, Illinois, on Friday, June 21, 2024. Opening for SEVENDUST are two bands who have collectively garnered millions of music streams and album sales and had multiple songs hit the TOP 5 in Active Rock. 10 Years and Adelitas Way will be opening the stage for SEVENDUST!
Not to be outdone by Friday, Saturday night will be equally impressive to rock fans. Headlining Saturday, June 22nd, is a band that has sold over 4 million albums and hit well over 300 million song streams. BUCKCHERRY is coming to Quincy, Illinois! Saliva and Drowning Pool will be opening the stage on Saturday Night!
The series has been put together by Scott Edlin, On the Rail Sports Bar & Grill owner in Quincy. Scott said, “Not only are we looking forward to the shows, but we put this together so that people from outside the area can come to town and experience what the Quincy Area offers. Come for the weekend and catch some great shows, eat at great restaurants in the area, and enjoy Quincy!”
Gates will open at 6 PM each night, and the stage will begin to rock at 7PM. There will be drink and food vendors on site each night. General Admission and VIP Pit tickets (the section closest to the stage) will be available. There will also be a 2-Day Rock Pass available so you can enjoy the full weekend at a discounted rate.
