The Galesburg Community Chorus will begin rehearsals for its 2023 spring concert on Monday, January 9th, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Galesburg (101 N Prairie St). All are welcome to join, no auditions are necessary, and masks are optional. Dues are $10 a semester, and music fees are $5 a semester. Students are not required to pay dues.
The concert will take place on Saturday, May 6th at 7:30 p.m. at the Central Congregational Church, and will feature Felix Mendelssohn's Elijah.
The Galesburg Community Chorus will join forces with the Knox College Choir, the Monmouth College Chorale, and the Knox-Galesburg Symphony for this performance, one of the greatest works for chorus and orchestra ever written. It is powerful, dramatic, and beautiful, and the concert, directed by Dr. Laura Lane, is sure to be an unforgettable experience.

The Galesburg Community Chorus, directed by Dr. Tim Pahel, is the oldest community music organization in the Galesburg area and is currently celebrating its 77th anniversary.
