Final Round of Golf Event Rained Out, Watson Leads Scots

The Monmouth College men's golf team finished in 41st place at the Midwest Region Classic this weekend in Kansasville, Wisconsin. Saturday's round was washed out with half the players still on the back nine, including the five Monmouth golfers. Only results from Friday's opening round will count.

Connor Watson (Macomb, Illinois) led the way tied for 35th place. He shot a 2-over 74 on Friday. Collin Heslin (Nashville, Tennessee), shot a 81 (+9) while Cole Reavis (Buena Vista, Colorado) shot 84 (+12). Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) fired an 87 (+15) and Thomas Henson (Geneseo, Illinois) carded an 89 (+17).

The men's team is next in action at Clarke University on Sept. 29-30.
