Cross Country Teams Complete Season at NCAA Regional Meet

MONMOUTH, ILL. The Monmouth College cross country teams finished their seasons on Saturday at the NCAA Midwest Region hosted by Wartburg at the Max Cross Country Course in Waverly, Iowa.

"With a much bigger field than our conference championships our goal was for both teams to get our hard and avoid getting boxed in," said head coach Cooper Pauley. "Both groups did that very well and were in positions to complete where we needed to be in the middle of the race."

WOMEN

Paige Luntsford (Cairo, Missouri) ran 23:54.1 to finish 61st while Melissa Bivolarov (Arlington Heights, Illinois) finished 120th in 25:00.8. Amelia Iwanski (Saint Charles, Illinois) finished 181st in 28:58.0, and Adyson Beebe (Clinton, Illinois) ran 29:57.7 to finish 194th.

MEN

Sophomore Fernando Avila Rubio (Alpha, Illinois) finished 133rd in 27:54.4 and Xander Stoub (Palos Heights, Illinois) finished 143rd in 28:23.3. Riley Morgan (Jewett, Illinois) ran 29:44.0 to finish 185th with Braden Rees (Galesburg, Illinois) in 195th place in 30:26.6. Larry Kamara (Alpha, Illinois) was 210th in 31:47.9.
