Boys Soccer: Monmouth-Roseville 5, A-Town 0

The Monmouth Roseville soccer team scored goals in the final minute of each half in route to a 5-0 victory over the A-Town Tornadoes in Avon September 30.

Earlier in September, the two teams met at M-R’s field and battled to a 1-1 tie. The rematch was also tied for quite some time, but the Titans finally broke through 19 seconds before halftime. Cee Sarcomo scored right in front of the goal after Kevin Vazquez made a nice move in the box and drew the A-Town ’keeper out.

The Titans netted a key insurance goal with 26:26 left to play when right-winger Daniel Cinzah slotted home a near-post shot after a cross from Angel Jurado.

The Sarcomo-Vazquez combo clicked again with 9:23 to play, with Sarcomo scoring his team-high 10th goal of the year.

Two minutes later, Derrek Martell’s blast from the left edge of the penalty box, assisted by Rogelio Meza, made it 4-0. Defender Elijah Sang closed out the scoring with 23 seconds to play, assisted by Sarcomo.
