Boys Soccer: Monmouth-Roseville 1, Roanoke-Benson/Eureka 0

Bruntsh Bolese’s 10th goal of the season lifted Monmouth-Roseville to a 1-0 victory over visiting Roanoke-Benson/Eureka Oct. 7 at Pattee Fields.

In the game’s 57th minute, Kevin Vazquez dribbled across the middle of the field near the edge of the penalty box and slipped a pass to Bolese, who hit a pure strike from 20 yards to the far post, past R-B/E goalie Hunter Heath.

The goal had been coming for a while, as the Titans created several chances on their way to out-shooting their guests 13-1.

The win improved M-R’s record to 11-7-4, which includes a 2-0 home win Oct. 5 against Princeton in Three Rivers Athletic Conference action. Cee Sarcomo and Sang Lian had the goals, with Angel Jurado providing both assists.
