Boys Regional Soccer: Monmouth-Roseville 1, A-Town 0

Monmouth-Roseville 'keeper Isaac Garcia scored the game-winning goal and recorded the shutout as the Titans won their regional semi-final 1-0 October 19 at Pattee Fields.

Garcia stepped up to net the decisive goal with just 1:54 to play after Daniel Cinzah was fouled in the box by the Tornadoes.

The game pitted a pair of teams with nearly identical records who played to a 1-1 tie in their first meeting this year. M-R held the shot advantage throughout the game, but the game appeared headed to extra time until the Titans created a dangerous chance and Cinzah was brought down.

M-R held a 17-6 edge in shots, and A-Town goalie Augie Courson made eight saves. Garcia had three saves for the Titans. The goal was his fourth on PKs this year.

The Titans are now 13-7-4 on the year, while A-Town bows out at 13-8-3.
