GALESBURG, Illinois - KC Harding is in his ninth year as head men’s and women’s golf coach. He has led a major revitalizion of the programs.

The men’s team placed fifth in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Tournament last spring, but maintained a third place standing after the first two rounds. Patrick Mattar led the Prairie Fire with a three round total of 232 (77-77-78) to finish in a tie for eighth place overall and earn Second Team All-SLIAC honors. The men’s team also placed second the year before.

The men’s team returns Mattar (76.4), Brendan Wise (77.7), Harrison Phillips (78.9), and Eddie Brees (78.9). All four maintained season averages of less than 80 strokes per round.

The women’s team has not competed as a team in the last two SLIAC Tournaments, but placed fifth in 2019.
