United Way 12th Annual Lolita Junk Golf Outing

Updated: Jun 24, 2021

Galesburg - After taking a year off this morning United Way hosted their 12th Annual Lolita Junk Golf Outing at Bunker Links. Lolita Junk was a local realtor who possessed an incredible desire to impact the lives of the people of Knox County.

In 1995 she founded the Knox County Teen Court. Teen Court is a juvenile diversion program for first time criminal offenders. This program has given good kids who make a bad choice an opportunity at a clean criminal record, while at the same time ensuring that they understand and are held responsible for the offenses they commit.

The 12th Annual Lolita Junk Golf Outing will benefit United Way of Knox County and their many different programs.

The event is sponsored by F & M Bank, G & M Distributors, IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, First Mid Bank & Trust, Dave's Autobody, Hinchliff Pearson West, and AMP.

The weather has been great after the storms that passed through over night. It's mostly sunny and in the 70s resulting in a great turnout for a great cause.
