Updated: Jun 29, 2021

Relay For Life of Knox County will host a community luminaria drive-thru event to keep HOPE

alive in the fight against cancer.

The luminaria event will be celebrated at Lincoln Park (Galesburg) on Saturday, June 12 th 9pm-

10pm. The socially distanced drive-thru event is free and open to the public. Luminaria,

purchased in honor or memory of those touched by cancer, will be lit and line the roadway inside

Lincoln Park.

Although the annual Relay For Life event at Knox College will not be held this year due to

COVID-19, the luminaria drive-thru event recreates and celebrates one of Relay’s most treasured

and poignant traditions. Luminaria are lit to remember those touched by cancer.

Individuals are welcome to purchase luminaria in honor of a loved one before June 9th at

http://relayforlife.com/knoxil. Information and celebrations about the event are also shared on

Facebook (@relayforlifekc).

Guests are asked to enter the Lincoln Park in vehicles from the west entrance (Highway 150,

Henderson Street) and follow direction provided by volunteers. We look forward to a safe and

HOPE-ful event!
